Gorgeous Michigan Fall Engagement Session on Film
The colors during autumn in Michigan are just gorgeous and - bonus points - they looked stunning on film during this outdoor, cozy fall engagement session. The colors were vibrant and the film did an excellent job of capturing that crisp magic in a way that was soft and romantic, but still displayed all the beautiful colors of the season of transition. It was a special session not only because it was Fall (my favorite season!) but because these are photos of my BEST FRIEND. My beautiful, flirty, outgoing, wonderful friend.
SO, HERE'S TO YOU MAL: A LETTER TO MY BEST FRIEND,
Mal. My longtime comrade and bubbly, extroverted other half. I am so happy to know you. I feel like I'm par of some exclusive club - the People That Know + Love Maloree Club. I'll admit, over the years as new members joined I was suspicious and well - jealous sometimes. It's a childish part of my psychology, but it's true nonetheless.
So, naturally, when Josh First entered the picture, I was suspicious (and a little jealous). But Josh is just one of those people that upon meeting him, he's hard to dislike. He's quiet, mild, and so sweet to you. If there was ever a person to treat my BFF like a queen, it's Josh.
During the engagement session, whenever I said "okay, look at Mal," I never had to prompt any further - he had the most adoring gaze when he looked your way. No need to fake it for photos.
Josh, it's good to have you in the People that Know + Love Mal Club. Welcome, brotha. I think it's safe to say that you'll be taking over as president from here on out. Thank you for being who you are and loving Mal the way you do.
Mal, girl. I'm so happy for you. I can't wait for your big day.
Lots 'o love,
All photos were taken at or around the home that Mal and Josh bought together. All film images are p400+2 or Ektar+1.
